Edward M. Almberg 94 entered into eternal peace on Monday, November 13, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.  Edward was born in St. Petersburg, FL. and raised six children in Scotch Plains, NJ, before retiring to Palm Harbor, FL in 1993.  Edward was predeceased by his loving bride of 63 years, Helen J. Almberg. She was the love of his life.  He is survived by his loving children, Helen Crawford of New Port Richey, Susan Blackman of Largo, June Ciasulli of St. Petersburg, Patricia Presco of Longwood, Edward Almberg Jr. of Palm Harbor and Eric Almberg of Tarpon Springs, as well as his son-in-law Patrick Presco, and daughter-in-law Wendy Almberg. He is also survived by brother-in-law Paul Christen of Greenwood, IN, 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.   Edward graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy of Kings Point, NY. in 1944.  He was employed by U. S. Lines where he was the Chief Engineer of the S.S. United States, as well as the S.S. American Apollo for 42 years.

A visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Friday November 17, at David C. Gross Funeral Home in St. Petersburg, where funeral services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, November 18. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens. 

Edward was a devoted, amazing husband and father.  He will live in loving memory of all those he left behind.
