Raymond MarkleJanuary 27, 1929 ~ April 5, 2017 (age 88)
Raymond E. Markle of St. Petersburg Fl., passed away at the age of 88 on April 5th at the Suncoast Hospice Center.
He is preceded by his father and mother sister Judy and his brother Bob. He is survived by his wife Dawn of 66 years, who he was a devoted caregiver. His son Brian, and daughter Sharon, and son in law Keith. Granddaughter Rachael, and sister Nancy Wallace of Fl. Also sisters Sara, Doris, Betty, Eva, and many nieces and nephews. Very good friends Jan and Roger Morell. He was a devoted member of Pilgrim Congregational Church where he will be sadly missed. He was born in Hanover Pa. He was a Korean War Vet. And went on to Penn. State, where he graduated 2nd in his class. He worked for Bell Labs as a department head for 39 years. He will be remembered as a very intelligent man. He spent his summers in N.H. and his winters in Fl. Raymond was an avid hunter, fisherman,and golfer. He was a kind and giving husband and father and will be sadly missed by all.
Services for both Dawn and Raymond will be held at 1 pm on Sunday, April 30th at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 6315 Central Ave, St. Petersburg.
