Stanley KrepsAugust 17, 1938 ~ January 31, 2017 (age 78)
Stanley Kreps, 78, of Clearwater, passed away January 31, 2017.
Devoted husband to Linda, father to Steven Kreps (Harlene Katzman) and Michele Melrose, grandfather to Reuben and Sadie Kreps.
Stan was born in 1938 and raised in New Jersey, and he and his family moved to Florida in 1976. There, Stan spent 20 years as a mortgage broker helping thousands of families own their first homes, buy their dream home, or refinance to pay for college. Stan and Linda were among the founders of Beth Chai, a conservative synagogue in Seminole, FL, where he served as President. In his later years Stan became an avid golfer, and forged close relationships with new friends and re-established ties with old friends out on the course.
Stan died in his home in Clearwater, FL, surrounded by his loving family (and receiving love from his daughter's beloved dog), after a short but serious illness.
Donations in memory of Stanley Kreps can be made to Suncoast Hospice, who cared for Stan and his family so well during his last days, or to the American Cancer Society.
Services will be held in New Jersey.
David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Belcher Road Chapel in Clearwater is serving the family.
