William Arthur "Bill" JacobsMay 15, 1947 ~ April 1, 2017 (age 69)
William Arthur “Bill” Jacobs, 69, of St. Petersburg, passed away April 1, 2017.
Bill, who was born and grew up in St. Petersburg, graduated from the Elkins School of Broadcasting in Dallas with a Class A FCC license. He worked locally at WLCY as an announcer and disc jockey, later moving to West Palm Beach as well as Key West, where he became a local celebrity at WKIZ. He was truly an aficionado having to do with rock-and-roll music trivia. The only thing that he loved more than his music was his friends and family; he was a warm and caring soul. Rest in peace "Billy Jay."
Bill is survived by his loving family: daughter, Abby (John) DiLeonardo; brother, Bob (Debbie); and grandsons, Jonah and Ian. He was predeceased by his parents, Murray and Jacqueline “Jackie” Jacobs.
